Dick Celeste

Dick Celeste left India in 1967 after four years serving as assistant to then-Ambassador Chester Bowles. Thirty years later, in 1997, Celeste returned to India and walked the 30 extra feet into the “big office” as the United States’ newly appointed Ambassador to India. Currently serving as President of Colorado College, Dick Celeste talks with The Rev. Dr. Joan Brown Campbell, Chautauqua’s Director of Religion, about his memories of his experiences in India and his insights into India today.
